Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus are injectable gels that help to smooth away facial creases such as the smile lines that become etched in the skin from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth and the vertical marionette lines that form below the corners of the mouth. Juvederm–Two Formulations for Customized Treatment
Juvederm is available in two formulations, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus, to allow Dr. Newall to customize treatment according to your particular needs. Both are effective for recontouring the face, but Juvederm Ultra Plus is specially designed to correct deeper folds and wrinkles, while Juvederm Ultra works well for wrinkles that are more moderate in depth. Both versions contain lidocaine, which helps to make treatment a more comfortable experience.
How Long Do the Results Last?
The results of Juvederm can last up to a year after the initial treatment. It is the only hyaluronic acid filler that is FDA approved to last this long. It's relatively longer lasting benefits are due to a unique manufacturing process which creates a higher concentration of cross-linked hyaluronic acid.
