I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and at an early age I discovered my passion for the practice of medicine. I traveled to the United States as a young man to pursue my dream of becoming a physician. After graduating from Georgetown Medical School, I received my general surgery training in Cleveland, Ohio, then completed my plastic surgery training in Houston, Texas. It was then that I decided to make Houston my permanent home.
I have been happily married for 21 years and am the father of three wonderful children, two of whom are students at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, and another at Duchesne Academy of The Sacred Heart here in Houston. When not performing surgery or visiting with my patients, I enjoy precious time with my family and friends: swimming, playing tennis and squash, or riding my fabulous Paso Fino Peruvian horses.
The art of plastic surgery has been my profession and my livelihood, but more importantly it continues to be my passion. I love what I do, and it gives me great satisfaction to know that I can help others achieve their appearance goals.
Life is a beautiful journey, and I travel it with these basic tenets:
Work hard and be honest,
Cherish your loved ones,
And have lots of innocent fun!
