The practice surgical facility, the ACPS - SurgiCentre, is an AAAASF certified surgical facility, meaning it exceeds accepted standards for private surgical facilities.  For those patients undergoing more extensive surgery, Dr. Newall may recommend an overnight stay in one of the SurgiCentre's 4 overnight recovery suites.  The Surgicentre is proud of its safety record and takes no shortcuts when it comes to staffing its overnight facility.  The Surgicentre maintains a minimum of one registered nurse for every two patients in addition to other medical professionals.  This ratio is better than that at most hospitals where the typical staff ratio ranges up to 10 patients to one registered nurse.

 

As part of our signature "added touch" services,  we also offer private visits to your home by a certified medical professional with our exclusive home health care program.  This service is provided when recommended by Dr. Newall.

 

Should you desire more long term home care, ACPS has coordinated with Recovery Care, a local high-end home care service.  Recovery Care staff can pick you up after surgery, take you to any location you desire, and stay with you for as long as you feel you need them.  Their staff goes beyond simply monitoring your recovery to also providing you with meal preparation, helping you to the bathroom, answering your phone, running errands for food or prescriptions, communicating with Dr. Newall's clinic or family members and keeping you comfortable.

 

For our out of town guests and those in-town guests who would rather not recover at home we have corporate arrangements with several hotels including the St. Regis, the Westchase Hilton, and Candlewood Suites.  Houston is the fourth largest city in the country, so there are many hotel options to choose from.   Just ask any of our staff, and they would be glad to assist you.
