Hyaluronic Acid is  a substance in the skin which  absorbs water,  providing the skin with moisture and  volume.  As we  age, production of this valuable skin component decreases, leading to wrinkles and a loss of facial fullness.  But  advances in science have led to the development of injectable synthetic hyaluronic acids that can be injected into the skin to diminish the appearance of lines , folds, and hollowness.  Dr. Newall uses the hyaluronic acid products  Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm™ Ultra, and  Juvederm™ Plus, injecting  them beneath wrinkles or under the skin to create volume in hollow areas.  These products are popularly used to fill in the nasolabial folds that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth and to add fullness to the cheeks and lips.  Results last approximately 4-8 months.
