What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup is a type of tattooing that replaces several of your cosmetic products. We offer permanent makeup for:

  • Lipliner
  • Eyeliner
  • Microblading (eyebrow enhancement)
  • Areola reconstruction
  • Skin blending for stretch marks, scars, and uneven pigmentation

Because the process is the same as other types of tattoos, the results of your permanent makeup may last a lifetime.

Benefits of Permanent Makeup

  • Saves time and money
  • Tailored to your needs and desires
  • Range of pigments for your personal style and skin color

What Can I Expect from Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup is a type of micropigmentation, meaning that small needles are used to implant granules of colored pigment under the outer layers of skin. Your skin may be numbed prior to the treatment so that you remain comfortable. You may feel a slight sensation as the needle enters the skin. The pigment color may look darker than expected at first, but over the following weeks, it may fade somewhat and reach the color level that you expected.

After a few weeks, the skin is healed completely, and you can still apply makeup to the area if you desire.

Am I a Good Candidate for Permanent Makeup?

Some skin conditions may indicate that you are not a good candidate for permanent makeup. You should also be comfortable with the process of implanted pigmentation in the skin with special needles, the same process that is used for tattoos. We can explain the procedure and what to expect during your consultation so that you feel confident in your decision to have permanent makeup.
