What is a Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)?

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, is a facial surgery procedure performed to elevate dropping eyebrows, reduce frown lines and wrinkling across the forehead, and lessen the overall look of heaviness in the forehead.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Brow Lift?

If you are starting to see the inevitable signs of aging, drooping skin, wrinkles, creases and skin laxity, a brow lift may be right for you. When your skin loosens, and your forehead appears heavy and lined, this can change how people perceive your age and even your mood. If your forehead is making you look tired, angry, or sad when this is not how you actually feel, schedule a consultation with Dr. German Newall to discuss your options.

Benefits of a Brow Lift

The benefits of a brow or forehead lift are:

  • Tightening excess skin
  • Improve the appearance of wrinkles, creases, and folds
  • Elevating and raising the brow line
  • Restores a youthful, happy, and energized appearance
  • Increase in self-confidence
  • Achieves a more sculpted arch to the eyebrows

How is My Brow Lift Performed?

In this procedure, sometimes called a forehead lift, Dr. Newall lifts sagging brows and smooths forehead lines to greatly reduce the appearance of aging and fatigue on the face. Dr. Newall’s unique approach, called a “lateral brow lift,” creates maximum rejuvenation while avoiding the “startled look” that can often result from this procedure. He achieves this with the aid of an endoscope, a tool which has a small camera that allows him to make minimally sized incisions along the hairline, through which he can then reposition the forehead muscles and lift the brows and upper eyes. Because of their minimal size and placement, scars will not be visible. A brow lift is often combined with a facelift, eye lift, and laser or chemical peel services to improve the skin’s appearance for a more fully rejuvenated appearance. This procedure is performed in an outpatient basis under either local or general anesthesia.

Where will the procedure be performed?

Brow lift surgery is performed at our award-winning ACPS, The Aesthetic Center for Plastic Surgery (ACPS), which is the largest private plastic surgery center in Texas. The ACPS exceeds accepted standards for private surgical facilities and is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The ACPS offers four surgical suites, pre-operative consultation suites, and seven comfortable post-operative recovery suites, all staffed with medical professionals handpicked by our surgeons.
